About the University and the Faculty

Eastern University, Sri Lanka, was officially established on 1st October 1986, succeeding the Batticaloa University College, which had been founded in 1981. The University comprises the main campus at Vantharumoolai, the Trincomalee Campus, and the Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies (SVIAS) at Kallady. The University is equipped with modern academic infrastructure and comprehensive student support facilities, providing a conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and extracurricular activities for nearly 10, 000 students. The Faculty of Agriculture is one of the founding faculties of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, is dedicated to producing competent agricultural graduates through quality education, research, innovation, and community engagement. The Faculty of Agriculture will host the International Symposium on Agriculture, 2027 (ISA 2027) under the theme, "Climate-Smart and Resilient Agriculture for a Greener Sustainable Future."

About the Symposium

The Sixth International Symposium on Agriculture (ISA) 2027, organized under the theme "Climate-Smart and Resilient Agriculture for a Greener Sustainable Future," emerges in response to the growing challenges posed by climate change, environmental degradation, resource scarcity, and the increasing demand for sustainable food production systems. Developing climate-smart and resilient agricultural systems is essential to ensure sustainable food production while conserving natural resources for future generations, The symposium will serve as an international platform for researchers, academics, students, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, disseminate research findings, and explore emerging innovations for advancing sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture. Through the integration of multidisciplinary knowledge and collaborative efforts, the event aims to advance transformative solutions that enhance agricultural sustainability, resilience, and productivity in a changing global environment.

Paper Submission

We would like to invite you to submit your research paper for the 6^th International Symposium on Agriculture (ISA 2027). The symposium language will be English. Authors are kindly advised to follow author guidelines for the preparation and submission of extended abstracts. The extended abstracts should be submitted via Google form https://forms.gle/SgpvVQTtnyQLSH8x9 with an author declaration form. Papers that do not comply with the author guidelines will not be considered for review. All the abstracts of the accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings.

All presenting authors are required to register for the symposium using the Google form. Please indicate ISA 2027, your name, and the abstract ID on the fund transfer sheet, and upload the completed sheet through the designated Google Form.
